This evening I had the pleasure of chatting over the phone with one of the fastest rising stars in the adult entertainment industry, Jacky Joy. Jacky was a great interviewee, with a friendly and warm personality and answered all of our questions honestly and openly. I have to say, chatting with a beautiful, famous pornstar was definitely a great way to spend a wet and windy winter’s evening!
Jacky was in really good form when she answered the phone and let me know that the source of her happiness was that she just learned she had been nominated for her first AVN award. “I just found out today that I have been nominated for the “Unsung Starlet Of The Year Award” at this year’s AVN’s. It’s great news and a huge honour as it really shows that my work is paying off and I’m doing a good job!”. However, Jacky also noted that while it was a huge honour to be nominated for the award, it would be a tough one to win. “Theres so many great girls up for the award, like Rachel Roxxx and Nikki Sexx. It’s going to be really tough to win amongst so much great talent.”
Our conversation then turned to the current state of the porn industry. “Things are kind of tough at the moment, with all the illegal downloading of movies that’s going on. While the bigger companies like Brazzers and Vivid are always going to have the money to make movies because they have a loyal fan base, smaller companies are going out of business and finding it harder and harder to survive”. With a degree in business administration, I asked Jacky had she any ideas about turning around the fortunes of the porn industry. “Well, we definitely need a revolution of some sort. Maybe we could imitate the music industry and develop some sort of i-tunes for porn where you could download individual scenes, rather than whole movies. We could call it porn-tunes!
“A lot of girls are also doing cam-shows to earn extra money. I’m a big fan of doing cam shows. I mean, it’s almost like a dream job. You get to sit at home and masturbate and get paid to do it!”
Speaking of Jacky’s college education, I wondered what it was like to juggle going to classes and entering the porn industry at the same time. “For me, college always came first until I graduated. I wanted to get my degree so that I had something to fall back on. At first, I went to classes on campus but when I started getting more and more work in porn I started taking classes online. However, right up until I graduated, college always came first. Now that I have my degree, the porn industry is my number one target.” Jacky’s answer was refreshing to hear and showed a level headedness and sensibility that will definitely serve her well as her porn career develops and keep her in the game long after her acting days are over.
Being from Pennsylvania, Jacky told me that she travels to California between once and twice a month to shoot scenes. She said that when she’s working in California she works extremely hard. Jacky told me she loves being able to come home and relax when not shooting. “I love coming back to PA and just doing normal things. I’m like a house woman; I do all the cleaning, play with my cats, cook all the meals, workout and of course, spend time with my boyfriend”. Boyfriend, eh? Hmm, must be difficult having a normal relationship. “No, not at all. Once I’m at home, we’re a normal couple”. Does he get jealous of your work. “Not at all. He’s a really smart guy and he’s always helping me think of new ways to market myself and progress my career”. So he’s not in the porn industry then? “Nope. He’s just a regular guy”.
Next we moved on to talking about the the big dicks she encounters in some of her work, and when I asked if she remember the biggest she’s had: “I’d say that was either Mandingo’s or Shane Diesel. They were both huge, but Shanes is really thick where Mandigo is just really long. I remember the first time I had to do a scene and saw the size of the guys dick, I was like “wow!” So which is better Jacky, thick or long. “Definitely long.”
I next asked Jacky about the differences between partying with others in the adult entertainment industry compared to partying back home in PA with her friends. “My friends in PA are actually really crazy. We actually go to a lot of crazy swinger parties”. Holy. Crap. Jacky Joy, the beautiful pornstar is a swinger?! “Yup. I was asked by this company here in PA to host one of their swinging parties and I said why not. It was a lot of fun and my boyfriend and I decided to go and be a part of one. We really enjoy it. I usually go and find hot girls to make out with and let my boyfriend fuck but we also go for couples. I mean, if there’s another couple there and they’re really hot, I wanna go have fun with them!” Now I see why her boyfriend is cool with her dayjob!
